Oh my god
Udaipur, India
I feel like I'm going to throw up.
This is the top news item on www.wwltv.com
"Break in 17th Street Canal Levee is now 200 feet wide and slowly flooding the City of New Orleans. Huge sand bags are being airlifted to try to stem the rush of water in that area. The expectations are that the water will not stop until it reaches lake level."
The lake is considerably higher than the city.
Somebody make this all stop.

The break is just south of the (new) old hammond hwy bridge. They are trying to airlift huge sandbags to fill the gap. The new $32mm pumping station at the I-10 underpass at the RR by the cemeteries, failed. But since it pumped into the 17th street canal it doesn't much matter.
