Done

I have been completely consumed by reading the Twilight sage this past week. Last night, Eclipse distracted me so much that I hardly noticed the touchdowns the Saints made. Today I read Breaking Dawn, and I'm quite happy to be done with this phase of reading insatiably like a junkie. There's a lot of work to get done in just a couple of days, work I haven't been putting enough time into because I've been reading about vampires and werewolves instead.

So how would you rate the books? I've just started reading the series myself but at the moment am finding they don't quite live up to all the hype.

I felt the same way in the beginning.

The first two thirds of Twilight were kind of slow going. A friend summed it up as, "He's beautiful, he's so pale and beautiful, I stare at his beauty... blah blah blah."

But then the action kicks in.

New Moon was a much better book, and Eclipse was even better than New Moon. Breaking Dawn is satisfying in it's own way, though the writing and plot aren't as strong as the middle two books.

I'd recommend sticking it out through the end of Twilight. If by then you aren't hooked, itching to know what happens in the next book, I think you could safely take a pass on the rest.

It would be interesting to know how it turns out for you. :)
