Happy Ending

So, I just had a long chat with my downstairs neighbor. I heard the bass and went down and knocked. He was super nice and responsive when I talked to him about the bass traveling up. Yay! It was much better to talk in person than to leave a note. Glad it worked out this way.

It feels good to be grown-up about potential conflicts and not escalating things out of frustration. I think this could be a happy sanctuary for studying and lesson planning once again. And there's a new neighbor friend to boot.
