I am burnt out. Crispy fried brain.

Please enjoy this relaxing image of Armenian grape hyacinths.

It's all about having crisis deadlines. What is the absolute last possible minute that Project X can get turned in? Because if it's not that crisis moment, there are too many other projects competing for attention, like crabs in a bucket.

I finished one month-long project for the garden this afternoon. I also finished a semester-long grant-writing project tonight. Tomorrow I have two more looming projects. One is a research project for a museum's education department and the other is for my work at the park. Neither project will get finished for another few weeks, but the crisis point has been reached on finishing certain elements. Tomorrow they get attention or I'm in big trouble.

I stole a little time from the bucket of crabs to take some pictures on this gorgeous spring day. The garden was particularly lovely early in the morning.

Three weeks and one day

I am living with the dream that my life will actually be mine again in 22 days. It's probably not true, but the illusion keeps me going.

Happy Day

It's been an excellent day. Thanks to everyone for emails, texts, calls, hugs, and kisses.

It's nice to celebrate being alive.
