Angels

We walked our feet off in Berlin today. Saw a lot of angels.

The mental soundtrack of the day has been German dialogue I can´t understand from the Wim Wenders film, Wing´s of Desire, along with some U2. The only deviation in the playlist was David Bowie singing Heroes between my ears as I stood next to the remains of the wall with Chris.

I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guns shot above our heads
(over our heads)
And we kissed,
as though nothing could fall
(nothing could fall)

Reliving Childhood

Today was spent wandering around a Brother's Grimm town ( for anyone familiar with the story of The Bremen Town Musicians). There is an over-abundance of donkey/dog/cat/rooster paraphenalia here.

Tomorrow, we're on our way to Legoland.

Where are we....?

It's hard to say exactly where we are right now. Somewhere north of Brussels that has a trailer park.

The only way I can keep track of where we've been and what we're doing is by writing the name of the city or town where we sleep onto a little calendar. Tonight and last night are big blanks. Does that mean we are lost?

End of the Rush

Last day in Italy. We stopped in Genoa to eat pesto.

Sorry that lately postings have degenerated into a series of lists. I hope to do better now that our traveling schedule will be slowing down again. In the past three weeks, we crossed Italy north to south three times. I'm a lot bigger than I was at the start of Italy and gelato has been banned from the diet.
