Insurance

This afternoon it flashed through my mind that it would be a good thing to have health insurance.

The revelation occurred as I was breaking up a fight between two seventh grade boys. They started off shoving each other in the main corridor and ended up pushing through a doorway into a math class. The students inside looked confused. One minute they are packing their bags to go home, the next minute they are witnessing a sparring floor-show.

It wasn't too bad. No blood.

It's the second boy fight I've stepped into. I'm staying clear of the girl fights though. Those are the ones that scare me.

Payback

Because I believe in masochism, I've signed up again this year for NaBloPoMo. It's a commitment to blog every day in November.

I've been telling myself it's been ok to let blogging slide for the past several months because I would make up for it come November. Four more days before I have to start paying the piper.

In the meantime, there are four papers to write. Several lessons to plan. Fifteen articles to read. A photography exhibition to mount. A rodent to catch. And laundry to do that's been piling up in the closet.

BEDDINGE RESMO

Studying. Reading. Lesson planning. Teaching. Sleeping. Reading. Researching. Teaching. Observing. Writing. Meeting. Discussing. Planning. Commuting. Teaching.

No blogging. Not enough sleeping.

The sleeping part will improve now that Beddinge Resmo, a special sleeper sofa from IKEA, has entered my life. It's green and I love it.
